The TNLA announced tonight that an airstrike targeted the Hsipaw police station in Hsipaw City, which the TNLA took during the 1027 operation.
The TNLA also announced that an attack occurred in the town of Hsipaw in Shan State on the night of October 5. At least five bombs were dropped during this assault, resulting in one death and injuring at least ten others.
The bombs dropped to attack the TNLA exploded two near the police station in the Zatsu ward, one near the Ideal Bakery in the western ward, and one near the farm in the Taungmyo ward.
Similarly, the army stationed in Namlan fired two rounds of howitzers and heavy weapons, resulting in an explosion near Lwekyai village and the Asiawall tollgate. In addition to injuries sustained by people, over 20 homes, cars, motorcycles, and belongings inside the houses were also damaged by the fire.
TNLA and MNDAA, including the AA and NUG-influenced Mandalay’s PDF, have been involved in Operation 1027 since June 25, with SAC troops participating in firefights. Airstrikes are being conducted after the SAC advised people to steer clear of towns taken over by armed terrorists.
