Yangon-Mandalay train journeys will resume

It is reported that the Yangon-Mandalay train journeys, which were halted due to the flooding caused by the storm Yagi, will resume.

No.(1) Up No.(2) down Yangon-Mandalay post train and No.(11)up (12) down Yangon-Mandalay express trains are scheduled to resume operation from October 3rd and the Yangon-Mandalay special trains that currently run with airbag coaches will not be included.

Repairs were made to the Yangon-Mandalay railway section, which was flooded in mid-September. Since September 21, the road between Yangon and Tharsan has been reopened, and the road between Tharsan and Mandalay has been prepared.

Since the Myanmar Railways will resume the Yangon-Mandalay section, it is reported that the Yangon-Mandalay route will be operated by passenger trains, so passenger rides will be convenient.
