According to the statistics released by the Central Bank of Myanmar on September 30, the central bank issued and sold more than 13.169 million dollars and 1.825 million Chinese yuan, making it more than 310 million dollars in two months.
After the central bank announced that it would provide $100 million to fuel oil companies, millions of dollars were sold in droves starting on August 15. From August 1 to September 16, $228 million was sold.
After that, dollars were continuously issued and sold, so including this additional sale, sales in two weeks reached more than 88 million dollars, so the total sales of dollars in the two months from August 1 to September 30 reached more than 316 million dollars.
The dollar’s price rose to more than 7,000 kyats due to the continuous selling of such foreign currencies. However, it fell below 5,000 kyats for the second time since September 27 and fell to 4,720 kyats per dollar today.
