The driver was reported injured when a vehicle transporting green goods overturned after falling asleep at the turn between Milepost No. 57/4 and 57/5 on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway.
At 5:55 a.m. today, September 27th, a truck transporting green goods from Mandalay to Yangon overturned at the intersection between milepost No. 57/4 and 57/5. Upon receiving the report, a firefighting vehicle and search and rescue personnel from Bawni Expressway Fire Station (1) were dispatched to assist.
“Drowsy driving. They were transporting vegetables in the car. The driver sustained an injury to the back of the head. The two men following were unharmed. There is damage on the left side of the vehicle,” an official from Bawni Expressway Fire Station informed MT News.
The male driver of the car from Sagawar Land Expressway Gate, who was injured when the vehicle overturned while he was asleep, has been taken to Bago Public Hospital.
