The Myanmar Embassy in Singapore announced that the food and consumer goods donated by Singaporeans to the flood-affected people from Myanmar started arriving in Yangon on September 23rd and 24th.
Social aid organizations in Singapore have donated 10 tons of nutritional rice bags, clothing, hats, shoes and soap to the people in Myanmar’s flood-affected areas through the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore.
The donated items will be transported free of charge by MNA and MAI airlines flying from Singapore to Yangon between September 23rd and 27th.
The statement also stated that the items donated by the people of Singapore through relevant charitable organizations will continue to be distributed to people in flood-affected areas throughout Myanmar under the program of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement of Myanmar.
