The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation told Julie Bishop, the Special Envoy on Myanmar, that the important thing that must be done step by step to achieve stability and peace in Myanmar is that no one should interfere in its internal affairs.
Deputy Minister Sergey Vasilievich VERSHININ, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, received the special envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General on Myanmar Julie Bishop at the request, and told Julie Bishop about Myanmar’s affairs regarding non-interference in Myanmar’s internal affairs at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) which took place at the UN Headquarters in New York from 22 to 27 September 2024.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the Myanmar issue and consulted on the prospects for achieving stability and peace in the country. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia reiterated that the key to stability and peace in Myanmar is for the country to find its own solutions. He stressed that the international community should respect Myanmar’s sovereignty and only provide assistance if requested.
The press release of SAC has announced regarding the Myanmar issues, that the MNDAA and TNLA have formed a military alliance with the NUG and are attacking the Myanmar government to destabilize the internal affairs of Myanmar, and the United States provides $200 million annually to NUG to do so.
