China donated 700,000 yuan worth of relief supplies to the people of Myanmar affected by the floods caused by Typhoon Yagi on 23 September.
The China Arts and Crafts Association donated these supplies, which were received by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
The supplies were handed over during a meeting between the Union Minister for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, U Khin Maung Yi, and the delegation led by Mr. Liu Yong, the Deputy Governor of Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China. During the meeting, they also discussed opportunities for cooperation between China and Myanmar in forestry, mining, and environmental conservation.
