Belarusian state media reported that the Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, was invited by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, to visit the capital, Minsk, to discuss cooperation between the two countries. He made the remarks during a message commemorating the 25th anniversary of Belarus-Myanmar relations on September 22.
“I am confident that by purposeful joint efforts, we will be able to effectively realize the inexhaustible potential of our cooperation for the benefit of citizens of Belarus and Myanmar,” Lukashenko said. The Belarusian also wished him “good health, happiness and success.”
Minsk and Naypyidaw have maintained close ties since February 2021. SAC Chairman PM Senior General Min Aung Hlaing previously visited Belarus in 2014 as commander-in-chief of the military(photo).
