Col. Khun Ukka, who was the patron of the Pao National Liberation Organization (PNLO), said that after MNDAA announced that it would not expand the battlefield in military and political cooperation with the NUG, the PDF’s attack activities may be challenging. However, due to their demining, they can still cause trouble.
This is based on the statement made on the evening of September 18 that the MNDAA will not change its political stance on achieving autonomy, that there will be absolutely no military-political cooperation with the NUG, expansion of battlefields, or offensive attacks on Mandalay and Taunggyi.
“If there is no involved MNDAA and TLNA, we have to wait and see how much the rest of the armed forces can do. PDFs can cause problems. Splitting mines with a few cars can cause trouble. But it won’t be easy to make it big. It’s like saying that PDFs will seize Yangon, as Dr. Zaw Wai Soe said, Mandalay is about to be seized; it’s a bit like spreading propaganda that they will be confiscated without any material,” Colonel Khun Ukka told MT News.
MNDA’s statement shows that China has made a special request to mediate and resolve the situation in Myanmar, which is getting worse daily. They also stated that they would immediately cease the ceasefire and actively cooperate with China to resolve the conflicts through political dialogue.
Similarly, secession from the state, usurpation of state power, gaining independence, and establishing a new state will not be possible at all. It is also stated that MNDAA’s political redline is not to cooperate or form alliances with foreign communities that oppose China or Myanmar.
“This is telling the true situation on their inside. Because there are groups that use them politically, so they openly said that their troops would not attack Mandalay and Taunggyi. However, the NUG groups spread propaganda as if only the northern groups had reached an agreement with them and cooperated with them. So they also honestly reported that NUG’s statement was wrong,” Colonel Khun Ukka pointed out.
