According to the announcement of the Norway Embassy in Yangon, Norway has contributed US$500,000 to assist Myanmar’s flood-stricken areas. Norway’s UNOPS provided this sum in collaboration with donors to support the rehabilitation of flood-affected regions in Myanmar.
This support includes shelter, food, purified water, and medicines, which the Norwegian Red Cross and its partner organizations will distribute through the Myanmar Red Cross Society.
Due to Typhoon Yagi, Myanmar has been experiencing widespread floods since early September.
