Mandalay Region, Pyigyitakhoon Township, (i) Ward; Plot No. H-196; between (139) and (61) streets. The Goodwill factory lost 220 thousand kyats due to a fire caused by overheating.
At approximately 6:35 p.m. on September 18, a plastic heater at the Good Will factory was left unattended, overheated, and ignited. The fire department arrived at the scene at 6:46 and extinguished the flames by 7:30 p.m. The fire was entirely under control by 7:48.
“Heated the plastic without removing the socket. It overheated and burned there. The estimated loss of the building is 120 lakhs, while the property value is 100 lakhs, totaling 220 lakhs. One of the firefighters suffered from suffocation and a lack of oxygen. I don’t have to worry about life; it’s gone well,” an official from the Fire Department in Pyigyitakhoon Township told MT News.
As reported, a case has been filed against the owner of Goodwill for negligence under Section 285 of the Penal Code at the Pyigyitakhoon Township Police Station.
