The Dark Shadow PDF group, which was planning to bomb the Hmawbi Air Force Base, was reportedly arrested just before the bomb was detonated.
This incident occurred on September 15th. While the Dark Shadow group was preparing to assault the Hmawbi Air Force Base, two members of the Dark Shadow PDFs were apprehended. The remaining Dark Shadow PDFs, fearing capture, chose not to proceed with the attack and retreated from Yangon.
“I couldn’t deliver good news, and I lost once more,” stated Dark Shadow group leader Chan Nyein Thu (Comrade Shadow) in his Myday post.
On June 8th, 13 terrorists planning to attack the opening of Thanlyin Bridge No. 3 with 107 mm shock missiles were arrested. The mastermind behind the plot was NUG Defense Minister Yi Mon, and reports indicate that four members of the Dark Shadow PDF were apprehended in the 13 terrorists.
