According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, more than 47,000 acres of rainfed crops were flooded and more than 3,900 acres of crops were damaged due to flooding in the Nay Pyi Taw council area. A total of 345,000 acres of rainfed crops were planted in the Nay Pyi Taw council area, and more than 47,000 acres were flooded. In addition, the farmers need to co-plant oil-producing sunflower crops according to the designated acreage, and the Department of Livestock and Treatment will arrange for pollinating bees to successfully grow sunflower seeds, MOALI Ministry U Minnaung said in a meeting with farmers in Pobbathiri and Zeyathiri townships on September 15.
