Union Minister of Information of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Maung Maung Ohm noted that the country’s authorities would be interested in taking part in the BRICS summit in Kazan.Myanmar would like to participate in BRICS as an observer country. This was stated by Union Minister of Information of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Maung Maung Ohm on the sidelines of the BRICS Media Summit.
“We are determined to interact with the association as an observer country, without full membership,” the minister said. According to him, the country’s authorities would be interested in taking part in the BRICS summit in Kazan, but have not yet received an invitation. “In the long term, we want to apply for full membership in the association. In our region, Southeast Asia, many have already applied. And we want to do so,”Minister of Information added.
