According to costume designer Myat Thinga Nge, founder of Myat Tawwin, costumes of a young prince of the Taungoo era are being created for the Asia Model Festival in South Korea.

“International models have to submit short videos of their traditional wearing styles and natural sceneries representing their traditional culture, to South Korea. These videos will be part of the event and they can catch the public attention. Not many people know about Taungoo era. I organized a photo shooting for Myanmar-represented model in a young prince costume of Taungoo era at Bago’s Kanbawzathadi Palace. I made the costume in real look of Taungoo era,” he said.

During the photo shoot, he ensured that Myanmar traditions and customs were featured. Known as Myanmar’s own heritage, Hlainggyi Taungshe is Myanmar’s traditional clothing. “I recreated the royal dagger and shoes in their original look during the Taungoo era,” he said.

Detailed Myanmar tattoos were also painted on the model’s body. #AsiaModelFestival #Myanmar #mtnewsagency #NewsUpdate
