As the MaraVijaya Buddha Image is being carved, the park is being built and the Cetis of stone plaque chambers are being constructed in the Mara Vijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw in Union Territory, upon completion of the Buddha image, it would be the largest and highest carved marble sitting Buddha statue not only in Myanmar but in the global countries.
The leading well-wisher Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspected the progress of the construction on the afternoon of November 3.
The SAC chairman viewed the video clip on construction of the Buddha image, carving of the Pitakat treatise literature and building of Cetis of stone plaque chambers and also viewed scale models of the buildings and sample Pitaka treatise book printed in Pali and Romanize languages to be published to monasteries across the world.
MaraVijaya Buddha Image is being built with the aim of showing firmly flourishing of Theravada Buddhism in Myanmar to the world, ensuring the country peaceful and tranquil, developing the region with the visits of local and foreign Travellers to the Buddha image and contributing to the development of the State.
