According to local residents, a wild elephant attacked and killed an old man in his house on the night of September 8th at Mingala Ward, Taikyi Township, Yangon Region.
The wild elephant entered the house and attacked 74-year-old U Pyone Cho, who was eating, with its trunk wrapped around him and attacked him, resulting in his death.
For a long time now, a wild elephant has been frequently entering and destroying homes in the TaikKyi City. A resident said that the village’s manual laborers are tired of working all day and do not sleep well at night, so they want the elephant leaders to come and bring the wild elephant.
According to the Yangon Region Disaster Management Department, a total of 12 houses were destroyed due to the attack of a wild elephant on August 14th, 29th and 9th in Tike Kyi City.
