While the PNO militia group was carrying out area control and security in Kaungmi village of Pinlaung township, the PNO militia group came into contact with the KNDF/PNLA/PDF terrorist group, which was leaving from the side of Pekon towards Pinlaung, at 9:00 p.m on September 5.
After the terrorist insurgents ran away in the encounter, the area where the encounter occurred was cleared and 33 bags were found on the side of the road.
When the joint team opened and inspected the bags, out of the 33 bags, 16 of the bags contained WY/R schizophrenic pills worth 3090000 tablets (about 15450 lakhs kyats) and 17 of the bags contained 177,3 kg (about 8865 lakhs kyats) of poppy powder, totally value of 24,315 lakhs kyats) was seized.
