A vehicle caught fire today, September 5, around 5:00 p.m. on Bago Myit Road, (92) Ward, New Dagon Myo (Port), Yangon Region, injuring 15 people inside.
The vehicle that overturned and caught fire was a high-jet passenger car. It flipped at high speed on a curve. There were older men and women in the car. A total of 15 people, including a child, were injured. Those with burn injuries, as well as lacerations, were reported. An official from the Myanmar Emergency Relief Fighter Network informed MT News.
Two fire engines from the Dagon Myo (Port) Fire Station were dispatched to extinguish the fire within 10 minutes during this incident. In collaboration with officials from the YRO network, people who suffered burn injuries and others who were injured were brought to Thingangyun Hospital.
