A Fried food seller woman was robbed and killed in Taikkyi Township

An older woman over 50 years of age was preparing to open a fry shop when an unknown group of people robbed and killed her and took about 20 kyats of gold items from her home. According to relevant sources, the incident happened in the early morning of September 1st in Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region.

It happened in Daw Tin Tin Myint, a 55-year-old fried food seller living in the middle of Kin Ma Ti village, Kin Ma Ti village group, Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region. Daw Tin Tin Myint was preparing to sell food in front of her house when an unknown group of people came and stabbed Daw Tin Myint with a sharp object. They ransacked the house and looted two kilos of gold items from the cupboard.

A resident of Kin Ma Ti said, “They knew about the incident when the grandchildren who live with her in the area were screaming and crying on the street in the middle of the village. When the police arrived, they looked at the witnesses and the injuries and concluded that one person did not do it,” he told MT News.

According to relevant investigations, only the victim and her grandson, who is a poor child, were left in the house where the house was robbed and killed, and her husband kept watch over the pepper field at night and slept in the field. Due to the robbery and murder, the deceased suffered a cut neck injury and stab wounds all over the body. The body was taken to the Okkan district hospital, and the local police are investigating to arrest the perpetrators.
