Myanmar Travel Bank (MTB) has announced that MTB Pay has been open since August 28 (today). Currently, MTB Pay top-up can only be done at 13 MTB Bank branches that have been opened locally, and agent representatives will be opened in various parts of the country soon.
MTB Pay is mainly aimed at making it more convenient for those working in tourism. Currently, it can only be used for electricity bills, TV channel service charges, and phone top-ups. Later, he said, it would be expanded until shopping could be done using the scanning system in shopping malls.
Today, opening an MTB Pay account is easy: send the account holder’s name, date of birth, address, registration number, and registration photo. However, first-time users are not given an account right away and are sent back within 24 hours after verifying the correctness of the information entered.
