The bridge on the border of Mon State and Karen State is being renovated by Japanese experts

It is reported that experts from Japan are renovating and constructing the Zatha Phain Bridge, which was built across the Jai River between Mon State and Karen State. This bridge is a steel cable-stayed bridge with a length of 1.5 kilometers (4,900 feet) and connects to the Zatha Phain west village and Kyaikmaraw town Hpa An township. On the road of Hpa An – Mawlamyine highway and was built in 1993 and completed in 1997. The bridge is covered with iron plates and is the (3rd) longest steel cable-stayed bridge in Myanmar.
