The Sembcorp Myingyan Independent Power Plant in Myingyan, Mandalay Region, has resumed operations following its temporary suspension on 12 August. According to the statement, since the conflicts around the plant have ended, it is now operational, aligned with the Electricity Power Generation Enterprise.
The temporary suspension will not affect Sembcorp’s earnings per share or net tangible assets per share for the year ending 31 December 2024.
As one of Myanmar’s largest gas-fired independent power plants, it helps meet the country’s growing electricity demand under a build-operate-transfer agreement.
