According to Tin Zaw Myint, director of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, Myanmar received nearly 700,000 foreign tourists in the first seven months of this year.
The number of foreign tourists has increased from last year, when there were 610,000 foreign visitors and most of the tourists are from China, Thailand, South Korea, and Japan, he said.
Over one million foreign tourists visited Myanmar last year, he said.
