A house robbery occurred in a house on 86(F) Road between 18th and 19th Streets in Aungmyaytharsan Township, Mandalay Region. A 72-year-old woman who was the owner of the house was strangled to death, and gold items were robbed, according to the local social assistance association.
In the incident, on the evening of August 19th, 2 men and 2 women entered the home shop selling contract labels on 86 (F) Street, claiming to buy contracts. The 72-year-old woman and her brother, a 69-year-old man, were tied up around the neck with a rope and gagged. It is reported that the older brother escaped with his life because of his struggle, but the elder sister died of suffocation.
