No fuel shortage expected due to current conditions

There is no such possibility of fuel shortage according to the remaining stocks and the arrival of incoming oil tankers from abroad. Authorities have urged the public to purchase fuel at petrol stations with shorter queues, rather than crowding at those with longer queues.

A lot of petrol was purchased in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay cities these days, causing some filling stations to be crowded and very long queues. Moreover, some stations ran out of fuel for some time before oil bowsers arrived. The stations have been filled regularly, and additional stations have been reinforced when necessary.

Moreover, the Supervisory Committee on Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil warned the public against purchasing panic fuel since there is no possibility of fuel shortages in the domestic market.
