Ngwetaung Beach visited over 14,000 local visitors in July

According to Daw Ni Ni Mar, an executive official of the Myanmar Tourism Federation, Ngwetaung Beach in Ngaputaw Township, Ayeyawady Region, welcomed 14,115 travellers in July 2024.

Visitors from Yangon Region and Nay Pyi Taw flock to the beach because of its proximity to the Myat Mawtinsun Pagoda.

“The beach welcomed around 36,555 local visitors in February, 38,955 in March, 48,955 in April, 54,555 in May, and 17,455 in June. Ngwetaung Beach is visited by tourists all year round,” said Daw Ni Ni Mar. Bicycles, motorboats, and horses are available for rent, as well as locally produced food and souvenirs.
