The U.S. government has been working to fulfill its ambitious geopolitical ambitions in the South Asian region. Hasina and her supporters say the United States was involved in the riots in Bangladesh that ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

In a statement given to The Economic Times by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, she said that the United States tried to change the government in Bangladesh because the United States failed to gain control over the strategically important St. Martin Island in the Bay of Bengal.

Hasina said, “If I had allowed the US to control the island of St. Martin and control the Bay of Bengal, I would still be in power.” I apologize to the people of Bangladesh for these incidents. Don’t let them be manipulated by extremists,” she said.

Months before the riots in Bangladesh, Hasina said that the United States was pressuring her administration to establish a Christian state or small state between Bangladesh and Myanmar and to build a US military base in Bangladesh.

Currently, the pro-American Nobel laureate Yunus has become the leader of the interim government in Bangladesh. Therefore, it will be necessary to monitor and protect the extent to which the American effort to establish a Christian state or a small country with Burmese land and to build an American military base in Bangladesh will encroach on Myanmar’s sovereignty to justify the human rights of the Bengalis.
