The Women’s Advocacy Coalition – Myanmar (WAC-M) has issued a request to take immediate action on Salai Isaac Khin, the former Minister of Municipalities and Industry of Chin State during the former NLD government, is now the NUG India representative, who sexually assaulted a female employee, and according to NUG’s PSHEA policy and report back to the public.
The WAC also requests that the representative of NUG’s India Myanmar representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Salai Isaac Khin, take effective action in a transparent manner as soon as possible to get justice for sexually assaulting a female under-staff secretary.
Although the perpetrator Salai Isaac Khin has a background in domestic violence and sexual harassment, but he is exempted from punishment. Being the leader in charge of India’s Myanmar representative office, he used his authority and power improperly and continued to dismiss the victim from his job. But it spread on social media, after NUG continued to fire the female employee, it is reported.
