According to the Sangha meeting held this afternoon, the final cremation of the monk of Win Nimmatthanam Monastery, who died after being shot by PDFs, will be held on June 27 (6 days after the full moon).
The sayadaw of Bagu City’s WinNainmitaYone Monastery departed from Yangon on June 19 to attend a meeting in Mandalay , and arrived at the Tadar Oo Airport at 10:00 a.m. . After that, Sayadaw was shot by the PDFs on the way from Nganzun – Kamma and died with head injuries, according to the SAC statement.
During the spring revolution, monks and nuns who did not support NUG and PDF were attacked and killed by PDF and ethnic armed forces. To date, 92 monks and one nun have been killed, 27 monks and one nun have been injured, and 42 monks are missing without contact after being arrested.
