It is reported that the border trade between India’s Mizoram State and Myanmar’s Sagaing Region has been temporarily suspended due to the bridge being broken due to the fighting that took place in Sagaing Region the past few days.

The damaged bridge is a bridge connecting Tahan City in Sagaing Region and Mizoram State. Villagers living in the border region of Mizoram state are hoping to re-export goods from the Myanmar side, and despite the challenges and distances, they are hoping to send the goods back to the Indian side through Phalam town.

Mizoram State is a state in the northeastern region of India that shares a border with Myanmar. The 510-kilometer border between Mizoram State and Myanmar is unfenced, and there is an illegal flow of goods. Due to the damage of the bridge, it was difficult to travel and it was also difficult to do business.
