On June 10, Myanmar’s Chargé d’Affaires U Thet Win participated a meeting between the ASEAN Secretary-General and the ASEAN Committee in Washington (ACW), as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the Embassy of Malaysia in Washington, the ACW hosted a lunch for ASEAN Secretary-General Dr Kao Kim Hourn. U Thet Win attended the working lunch with ASEAN ambassadors and chargés d’affaires from other ASEAN embassies.
The Malaysian ambassador provided an overview of ACW activities during the lunch. During the meeting, the ASEAN Secretary-General also discussed ASEAN’s unity, centrality, and priorities. As part of the discussion, participants discussed the ASEAN-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, its future prospects, and ways to enhance relations and ASEAN-US cooperation.
