The meeting took place within the framework of the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. “The key task of cooperation between the EAEU and Myanmar at this stage is to eliminate the problem of trade imbalance. It is important to use the potential of the economies of the Union countries and expand Myanmar’s access to their markets, and more actively involve business circles in the industry dialogue,” emphasized Sergei Glazyev.
Representatives of Myanmar see high potential for interaction in the financial sector, the oil refining and chemical industries, the export of agricultural products to the EAEU market, in the production of medicines, pharmaceutical technologies and interaction in the field of regulation of this area.
