Armed groups in Myanmar refuse to participate in the “Civil Disobedience Movement” and are working to kill and harm health workers, teachers, and local administrative authorities, including doctors who continue to work for the government, Russian Ambassador Stanilev Supremko said at a conference on Myanmar youth and children held at the United Nations.

The Russian ambassador to the United Nations said that it is necessary to reduce terrorist attacks in order to provide humanitarian assistance, and international organizations should work closely with the Myanmar government to provide support.

Ambassador Supremko said that some of the countries participating in the current meeting prefer to use threats and impose sanctions instead of meeting with the Myanmar government.

The Russian ambassador to the United Nations said that the political diplomacy and financial support of some countries to Myanmar’s anti-government groups has led to more instability in Myanmar, prolonging the armed conflict and increasing the intensity of tension.
