The water levels of the Ayeyawaddy and Chindwin rivers may continue to rise

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology issued a notice on May 28 to be aware of the increase in the water level of the Ayeyawaddy River and Chindwin River, as the water level may continue to rise.

The water level of the Ayeyawaddy reached 19 feet 3 inches (588 cm) in Myitkyina on May 28 at 12:30 p.m., and it has risen about 10 feet in 36 hours.

According to the measurement at 12:30 in the afternoon of May 28th in Khanti, the water level of the Chindwin River reached 16 feet 5 inches (502 cm) in that city, and it is said that it has risen about 13 feet in 36 hours.
