A meeting of political parties regarding the sanctions against Myanmar was held at the Myanmar Convention Center (MCC) hall at Mindhama Road, Maungone Township, Yangon at 10:00 yesterday morning.
The meeting was attended by the chairmans of political parties, vice chairmans and executive members, the president and members of the Myanmar Writers Association, the president and general secretary of the Myanmar Farmers’ Life Improvement Foundation, and officials from foreign embassies in Myanmar.
First, U Khin Yi, chairman of the Union Solidarity and Development Party, said that they had a meeting and discussion regarding sanctions against Myanmar.
After that, people who attended discussed the recommendations regarding the sanctions against Myanmar, and the political parties agreed and announced a joint opinion statement that they absolutely (absolutely) do not accept and oppose the sanctions against Myanmar.
