Deep Depression Condition
Based on observations at (22:30) hrs MST today, Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” which crossed the southwest of Dhaka (Bangladesh) has moved north-northeastward and become a deep depression, reaching the northwest of Dhaka (Bangladesh). It is contiunuously moved to North-Northeastwards and gradually weaken into a Depression during next (6) hours.
General caution
Under the influence of Deep Depression, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Chin, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyawady Regions and Kachin State along with strong winds during next (24) hours. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. An average surface wind speed of 40 mph and wave heights of 9-13 feet are expected during a squall.
Advisory
As natural weather phenomena such as strong winds, flooding and landslides can be accompanied by regionally heavyfalls, people living in the hilly areas are warned to be aware in advance of landslides and those living near riverbanks, creeks and low-lying areas of flooding. In addition, the Moezala has issued a warning to domestic civil aviation, coastal and offshore vessels along the Myanmar coast and other vessels.
