The members of the Myanmar Sepak Takraw team, who won the third prize in the ISTAF WORLD CUP 2024 competition held in Malaysia, returned to Yangon International Airport at 1:50 p.m. yesterday. Officials from the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation and Yangon Region warmly welcomed the victorious Myanmar Sepak Takraw team, it is reported.
The Myanmar national team led by head U Aung Myo San Myint and coach U Aung Cho Myint competed in the ISTAF WORLD CUP 2024 held in Malaysia from May 18 to 26. As a players Htoo Aung Kyaw, Thant Zin Htun, Min Thantha, Win Kyaw ,Win Zaw Zaw Oo, Zin Ko Ko , Zin Min Oo, Aung Myo Kyaw, Shein Wạn Zaw and Yan Pai Oo was chosen to compete.
Myanmar in the Premier class, Thailand, Malaysia,Indonesia Philippines, Vietnam, China, India, Japan, Korea and Singapore. Myanmar lost to Malaysia in the semi-finals in the Double Event and Regu Event and finished joint third with Indonesia and Philippines while the host Malaysia was the champion of both competitions.
