The Ministry of Immigration and People’s Empowerment has issued a notification that foreign nationals should obtain their UID numbers in advance at the relevant township immigration offices, and those using fake UID numbers will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
As the Ministry of Immigration and Manpower, using electronic technology to collect the personal information and biological information of each resident in the country and issue the UID number for the safety and improvement of the social life of the people.
UID numbers are issued free of charge in the relevant immigration township offices and Mobile Team field operations, but the people are working through brokers to obtain UID numbers, and because they used fake UID numbers that were not officially issued at Myanmar passport offices and international airport/seaport border gates, they had to take action in accordance with the law.
Therefore, people who want to obtain a UID number for various reasons should go to the relevant immigration township offices in person, and if they use fake UID numbers, they will be prosecuted according to the law.
