Chairman of SAC said that the airport will be upgrade to carried out until direct flights from Laos, China and Thailand to Kengtung Airport, is purposed for development of tourism industry in Kengtung.
At present, jets have been used for domestic and international trips to distant places. Need to upgrade until the jets that are in use in our country can land. In connection with neighboring countries, Kengtung Airport are being upgraded for admitting flights from neighbouring countries and upgrading the airport is purposed for development of tourism industry in Kengtung and contribution to socioeconomic development of the region and residents, said Chairman of SAC.
Chairman of SAC gave guidance to facilitate the runway of the airport with necessary equipment for enabling aeroplanes to land at the airport in all seasons and the construction of a new airport and the upgrading of the runway need to be carried out properly, it is reported.
