Due to the rising dollar price, the Central Bank of Myanmar announced that it will sell 5 million dollars today through the Online Trading Platform for exporters and importers in the foreign currency market.
As the central bank, through the Online Trading Platform for exporters and importers, and selling US Dollars, Chinese Yuan and Thai Baht. From February 2nd to May 9th (today), 11 times sale were made in more than three months, with a total foreign currency amount of 26 million US Dollars, 16.5 million Chinese Yuan and 166 million Thai Baht.
So far, the total amount of foreign currency that has been sold is more than 188 million US Dollars, more than 1,509 million Thai Baht and more than 49 million Chinese yuan have been sold, but the exchange rates continue to rise on April 24 reaching 3,900 kyat per dollar, and today rising to 3,950 kyat per dollar.
