According to Warden U Maung Win of the Indawgyi Wildlife Sanctuary in Mohnyin Township, Kachin State, 6,215 migratory and native waterfowl were documented in April.
A total of three sites, including Indawgyi Lake, Naladan Village, and Indaw Creek, were monitored by the researchers.
Myanmar’s Indawgyi Lake is the third largest lake in Southeast Asia. From south to north, the natural lake stretches 14 miles and is seven miles wide. It is located at an elevation of 700 feet above sea level. The total area is 314.67 square miles.
