Russia-ASEAN Business Council Chairman Mr. Evan Polyakov expressed his desire to establish an industrial zone for Russia-Myanmar friendship in Yangon.
He made this comment during the meeting with Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han and Union Ministry for Energy U Myo Myint Oo who are in Moscow, Russia to attend Russian Energy Week International Fourm held in Moscow in the Russian Federation.
Mr. Evan Polyakov discussed boosting economic cooperation between Myanmar and Russia, plan to meet with relevant ministries during the visit to Myanmar in November of this year for establishing an Emergency Response Center as a symbol of Russia-Myanmar friendship in Myanmar.
In addition, they also exchanged views on manufacturing machines and equipment that can be used for industrial enterprises by establishing an industrial zone for Russia-Myanmar friendship in the Yangon border area, investment in oil exploration in Myanmar by companies from Russia which are operating in energy sector, oil refinery plant and fertilizer factories and the sale and export of oil materials.
