On today’s 79th Armed Forces Day, The Chairman of the State Administration Council has conferred Thura Title of the military gallantry honorary title on a Lieutenant Colonel, a Major and a Sergeant. Lt-Col Tint Lwin Soe, Major Htay Aung and Sergeant Nyun Win from the Ministry of Defense, who were awarded Thura Title.
Similarly, there were 4 recipients of the Gallantry Certificate of the military capability honorary title and they were Colonel Nyan Lin Htet, Lt-Col Zaw Myo Thant, Major Myo Htet Zaw and Corporal/12 Kyi Phyo Wai.
In addition, Police Captain Tun Tun Win from the Myanmar Police Force was awarded Ye Thura Medal of Myanmar Police Force capability gallantry medals. A total of 40 people, including 5 members of the Myanmar Police Force, 11 members of the Ministry of Defense and the militia leader U Shwe Min, who was killed in the KIA’s 0307 operation a few days ago, were also awarded Ye Bala Medal.
