“Myanmar traditional Thingyan festival for 1385 ME will be held on a grand scale with performances and traditional Thingyan dance troupes by the artistes of the film, music, and theatrical industries,” said the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC).
There will be a central Thingyan stage at Yangon City Hall as usual, and regional Thingyan stages will be set up in the districts and townships. Additionally, artists will perform for the public, who will enjoy and participate in the Thingyan festival.
Aside from the Thingyan entertainment stages, there will be stages for water activities, as the authorities plan to hold a large-scale celebration of the upcoming traditional festival.
