Factories and workshops with more than 100 women should have childcare facilities. : Chairman of SAC

In his speech to the International Women’s Day ceremony today, the Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), Major General Min Aung Hlaing, added that women’s power should be taken for the development of the country and they should be allowed to participate in the necessary sectors, and that factories and workshops with 100 or more women should have childcare facilities.

Myanmar women are not only in matters of family members, the community, but also within the political, economy, peace and community development who can benefit equally with men. Factories and workshops with more than 100 women in order for women to participate in the workplace without any hindrance. It is necessary for them to comply with the Social Security Act, which stipulates that childcare centers should be placed in workplaces, SAC chairman said.
