Port in Yangon is busy unloading over 5 million gallons of fuel oil for distribution and there is enough fuel oil in Myanmar, according to the Fuel Oil Import, Storage and Distribution Supervisory Committee.
The committee has conducted scrutiny on importing fuel oil to ensure that the amount of fuel oil is sufficient, and MT Intan Premier vessel was unloading 2.09 million gallons of 92 Ron and 0.17 million gallons of 95 Ron at the terminal of Thilawa port in Yangon Region as of 1 October.
Afterwards, MT YU HAI vessel was unloading a total of 5.05 million gallons of fuel oil including 1.87 million gallons of 92 Ron and 3.18 million gallons of premium disel at the terminal of Thilawa port in Yangon Region on 3 October, and there is sufficient fuel oil.
The price of 92 Ron that dropped up to Ks-1880 per litre on previous day, rose back to Ks-1960 per litre on 6 October, the price of 95 Ron also soared to between Ks-1925 and Ks-2050 per litre.
Similarly, the disel price surged to Ks-2575 per litre on 6 October from Ks-2480 per litre on 5 October, and the price of premium disel rose to Ks-2660 from 2565 per litre, according to the reference prices of Fuel Oil Import, Storage and Distribution Supervisory Committee.
