After security forces has regained control of the Ho Po-Min Pong Union Highway which was blocked by the PNLA, KNDF and KNPP, the State Administrative Council (SAC) has announced that since March 1, possible to travel as usual passenger vehicles and personel vehicles.
Since 21 February, the security forces along the Union Road have been attacked and blocked some parts of the road along the highway by the some members from the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement signatory Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA), the KNDF, and KNPP, were supported by NUG and CRPH terrorists.
After 16 engagements with terrorist groups, some members of the security forces made ultimate sacrifices, while others sustained injuries in the operation. They seized the bodies of the terrorists, along with weapons, ammunition, and related equipment. It is reported, security forces, in collaboration with locals, are implementing counter-terrorism measures to address issues such as extortion, arms trafficking, and drug smuggling.
