A fighter jet from the Tatmadaw (Air) crashed near Yepokgyi village, northwest of Pwint Phyu in Magway at around 12:05 pm during a training flight due to a sudden mechanical malfunction, resulting in a fire on the ground. The pilot successfully ejected in an emergency and was safely rescued. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the engine failure.
