The spokesperson for the Rakhine government said, it is the false news that SAC is taking a list of Bengalis in Rakhine State to serve in the military. Myanmamr goverment is being offered freedom of the movement for the Bengalis in refugee camps and try to server them for military service according to the report on the website of the Business Standard which is the Bangladeshi media. t is also reported that some Bangladeshi media outlets are quoting the writings of some illegal Burmese media and quoting RFA’s baseless news.
” It is the false news because Bangalis are not citizens of Myanmar. Currently the military service law has to be formed only leadership team for the region and state. For the district and township, we will have to form many groups. And the rules must be published. We have to do a lot of process for the the military service law. So the Bangladeshi media’s news is absolutely false”said by the spokesperson for the Rakhine goverment.
The Dhaka Tribune, a Bangladesh-based news agency, falsely reported that “thousands of Bangladeshi refugees in the border region have been taken to fight in the ongoing conflict, which has yet to be confirmed.” A Yangon-based media monitoring analyst said that after the illegal media announced that Myanmar’s conscription law had come into effect, they have been spreading fake news in some form after creating false news to increase the anxiety of the people and local residents.
